Law in favor of Colombo-Venezuelans and Migrants overcomes 2nd debate
Bogotá, octubre 27, 2020.- Today, the Senate Plenary approved in a second debate the initiative of a legal framework for a comprehensive and long-term migration policy in our country. Bill number 001 of 2019 Senate, accumulated with bill 036 of 2019 Senate.
With a positive presentation and large majorities, the legislators gave a YES to the initiative led by Senator Andrés Felipe García Zuccardi since February 22, 2019 (Gazette # 97 of 2019), filed for the second time on July 20, 2019 (Gazette # 658 of 2019), and that on July 24 it was filed together with the Colombian Foreign Ministry and the Honorable Congressmen Emma Castellanos, Andrés Cristo Bustos, Edgar Díaz Contreras, Ana Paola Agudelo, Lidio García, Juan Diego Gómez, Christian Jose Moreo and Juan David Vélez as co-authors (gaceta_684).
